What is Alpha?
Many people are asking big questions about life, faith, and purpose. Alpha is an opportunity to bring those questions and explore them in an online group setting. It's a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith with breakouts in small groups designed to create friendly, open, and informal discussions. Alpha is fun, free, and a great way to meet friends.
Alpha begins October 9th and lasts for 8 weeks. Alpha meets each Thursday from 7 - 9 PM online on Zoom.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for anyone who's curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open, and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. Our next Alpha course starts October 2nd. Click the button to register today.
What happens at Alpha?
When you attend Alpha each week online, you'll be greeted by our host team and the others joining in. We start each week by creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone - sometimes with a game, a story, or something fun to do. Each week has 1 or 2 videos that we'll watch together to spark conversation to explore the deeper issues of life and faith.
Welcome
All classes are conducted via the Zoom platform, so you can attend online from anywhere on any device. Each class begins with a time of introductions to welcome and meet new people. The experience is designed to help people have fun and engage in discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.
Watch
Each Alpha class features short documentary-style films to watch and discuss. Designed to inspire more questions than provide answers, these short films explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus and How can we have faith? We will watch the film each week together and then break into smaller groups to discuss.
Discuss
The group experience is a time to share what's on your heart and mind together in a small group setting facilitated by friendly discussion hosts. You will be matched in a group with friends or family, and others nearby, close to your age, and people on the same spiritual path as you.
